Lola Mayeras
Sometimes the apple doesn't fall far from the tree - Lola Mayeras grew up with a ceramicist father and although their aesthetics are very different, she gained an appreciation for craftsmanship from him.
Lola Mayeras has been a stylist and chief designer for a fashion brand in Paris, but the Covid lockdown took her back to her roots in Southern France and rediscover her father's workspace.
She uses the same design process as when creating clothes, by combining shapes and iconic objects with vivid colours and playful designs. A big part of this collection was inspired by pop art, the southern sun and 60’s designs. A humorous element is always present in Lola's work, which is why it makes sense to portray a rubber glove as a ceramic vase.
Lola Mayeras currently lives between Paris and Southern France, which has made her realise her influence from the southern light and ambience.
