About the artist

Louise Bankander is a Swedish designer known for her experimental approach to art and design. Educated in design at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, she graduated in 2004 and has since explored various creative techniques and materials, such as textiles, wood, and most recently, cork. Louise is known for working freely, pushing boundaries, and blending different art forms in her work.

Her creations are inspired by nature and architectural forms, often blending raw, natural elements with polished, smooth surfaces. Her collections blur the line between art and fashion, combining minimalist elegance with bold, spontaneous designs. A recurring theme in her work is the beauty of Nordic nature, where mountains and wood merge in her pieces, creating something entirely new and unique.

In her latest collection, Collection No. 7, Louise continues to draw inspiration from nature, showcasing works that exist both as accessories and art pieces. Her work is not limited to one field, as her catalog includes architecture, photography, fashion, and traditional craftsmanship.

Overall, Louise Bankander’s work is characterized by its playful yet refined style, rooted in a deep connection to nature and an unlimited source of inspiration.
