Helena Olsson-Jenisch
This Swedish ceramicist, based in Ljunghusen, works with sculpting and hand-building in stoneware and porcelain clay. The strength of stoneware makes it possible to create volume and a presence on a larger scale, while porcelain allows for precision and fine details to stand out. Inspiration flows from the organic and ever-changing elements of nature. It thrives in the tension where contrasts meet.Equally fascinating is how a piece transforms with distance. Up close, details and textures emerge; from afar, its form and motion take over.
